Website Localization Discovery

Seven short steps, about seven minutes. At the end we'll send you a full discovery summary, tailored recommendations and an action plan for the multilingual version of your site. Even if we don't end up working together, the summary is yours to keep.

Step 1 of 70%

The goal

Let's start from the end. What the translated version needs to achieve.

Country, not just language. Country determines currency, regulation and phrasing.

Languages

This is where most of the scope and technical complexity gets set.

If you know it, specify the variant. Gulf Arabic differs from Egyptian, LatAm Spanish differs from Spain.

The platform

How the site is built determines whether content flows to us from the system or has to be copied by hand. It's the single biggest factor in long-term maintenance cost.

If you don't know, choose "Don't know". We'll check this with you or with the site builder.
This kind of content is almost always forgotten, and usually surfaces a week before launch.

The scope

A rough estimate is enough. If you don't know, skip it and we'll estimate together.

Language & brand

A glossary is the list of terms that repeat across the site, and the decision on how each one is said in the target language. It's built once, approved by you, and from then on serves every language and every future update.

Phrasing like this is allowed in one market and restricted in another, so it sometimes needs rewriting rather than translation.

Visibility, layout & QA

Three things determine whether the translated site actually works: whether it's found in local search, whether the design holds the new text, and whether someone checks it on a real screen before launch.

A literal translation of keywords almost always misses what the local user actually types.
Translation into German can lengthen text by up to 35%. Narrow buttons and menus break first.

Timeline & contact details

Last step. Where to send the summary.

The summary is sent to the email you enter here. We never share your details with anyone and never send unsolicited mail.
